About the
Work
Dennis LoBue took up needlepoint after an
work related accident. During his recovery he found needlepoint
to be a productive use of his time. He began to create needlepoint
images on his own. Now retired he continues to create original needlepoint
art. The inspiration for each piece is different; some based on
American Indian images, others on Picasso paintings, and others
on Chinese characters. Much of his work has a functional application.
Pillows, bags, and denim jackets have all been adorned by his original
pieces. Dennis also gardens and cooks.
