Jennifer
Kohnke regularly contributes her editorial illustrations to the Voice of the
People section of the Chicago Tribune (since 2004). She is also a syndicated
illustrator with Tribune Media Services (since 2005). Her traditional, pencil,
acrylic and digital portraits of people and animals plus pen and ink cartoon
illustrations appear on the Op Ed pages in newspapers across the United States.
As of October 2007, her editorial illustrations will be available through newsart.com.
Jennifer has provided whimsical and colorful images for both children's books
and textbook spot illustrations and book jacket art. Her work is perfect for
scholastic books, greeting cards, magazines, book jackets, album covers, CD art.
Based in Chicago (specifically Rogers Park), she received her BFA from the School
of the Art Institute of Chicago, and she participates once a year in the SAIC
fundraiser "Barewalls" (www.saic.edu/barewalls). Jennifer is a member
of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
