Jordan
Kost was born and raised on Chicago's South Side. Encouraged from a very young
age to pursue what made her happy, her father instilled these words of wisdom
upon her: "Either have fun, or go home." She's been having fun ever
since. Based in Rogers Park, Jordan Kost is a fine artist and print art director.
She received a BFA in Illustration, with an emphasis in Oil Painting, from the
American Academy of Art in 2003. Having always been drawn to life, her current
work focuses around surreal-real animal and human portraits in oil. She also
enjoys experimenting with papers, inks and pastels in a less realistic, gestural
manner.
