Opened December 2005, Rogers Bark is a full-service grooming salon for dogs and cats in Rogers Park. Rogers Bark offers grooming and bathing for all breeds of dogs, as well as AKC-specific haircuts - or we can get more creative whit the styling. For cats, we offer baths, haircuts, lion cuts, nail trims and ear cleanings. Rogers Bark also has a unique & eclectic selection of collars, leashes, toys, chews and treats and is a retailer of Solid Gold food and treats.

Owner Susie Ryerson has been a groomer for over 10 years. From an early age Susie knew she wanted to work with animals. Opening Rogers Bark has allowed her to spend all day doing what she is passionate about. Raised in Tennesee, Susie apprenticed under a Master Groomer there. She move to Chicago in 1998 and has been a resident of Rogers Park for the last 5 years, and has been a groomer at several Chicago grooming shops. She was the groomer at the first Rogers Bark, on Sheridan Rd in 2001-2002. When she made the decision to open her own shop she wanted to do it in Rogers Park, feeling that the area would benefit from it as much as she would.

Says Susie, " I like keeping a calm, comfortable environment for the dogs and cats, and where people would feel comfortable leaving their pets.We offer a highly visible grooming area and a safe and caring approach when grooming. Absolutely no tranquilizers used."
