Club of Chicago - Far North
Chartered in 2001. The Object of Rotary is to encourage
and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy
enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and
foster: First. The development of acquaintance as
an opportunity for service; Second. High ethical
standards in business and professions; the recognition
of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and
the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as

Corporation (CDC)
Lakeside Community Development Corporation (CDC)
was incorporated in June 2005 as a nonprofit organization
and operates with IRS 501c3 nonprofit designation.
The mission of Lakeside CDC is to preserve and create
affordable housing opportunities through education,
advocacy, and development. Lakeside formed to respond
to the lack of affordable housing development on
Chicago’s north side and to grow relationships
between government agencies, lenders, and community
based organizations towards the preservation and
creation of affordable housing opportunities.
Lakeside’s primary clients are those low-
and moderate-income residents whose housing is threatened
by gentrification, as well as others who are underserved
in the housing market. Our activities include individual
and group housing counseling and referrals and advocacy

of 2003 as the 49th Ward Parks & Beaches Advisory
Council. It has since evolved into an
independent, volunteer organization, to serve the
Rogers Park Community, not only the ward, whose
boundaries change, according to redistricting law,
every 10 years. Their goals are to Create
a Plan to expand, enhance and preserve the parks
and beaches in Rogers Park, seek citizen input to
generate ideas to produce such a Plan, inform so

citizen support to implement the proposals in the

Park
their mission is to:To develop and deliver quality
youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family
environment based on their philosophies. Every child
who meets the age requirements and is willing to
come out and play is entitled to register and be
placed on a team regardless of skill level. Because
of limited space in Roger Park, we set numerical
limits for each age division. Parents who register
their kids at our public registrations are generally
assured a spot. (We haven’t turned anyone
down yet.) Early or late registrations are not accepted.
Late registrations will be placed on a waiting list
and moved onto a team on a first-come-first-served
basis if space is available in the child’s
age division. |
