Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Mexico. I studied business and accounting in school. I have been in Chicago for thirteen years and nine of those years in Rogers Park as a hair stylist. I have been a professional hairstylist for ten years.

What are you passionate about and how are you fulfilling your passion about?
I like what I do. I like helping people feel good about themselves, making people smile. I like getting compliments. I express myself through hair styling and make-up for my customers. This is not a boring job. People say I am always smiling. It is true because I love what I do. Two friends of mine and I are fulfilling a dream by opening up our own Salon: 3 Logic Hair Designers. We do hair, make-up, eyebrow waxing. I also design clothing.

What do you like about Rogers Park?
I feel at home here on Clark Street in Rogers Park. It is like being back in my home town in Mexico

Which five people (living or dead) would you invite to a dinner party?
Coco Chanel, Freida Calos, Tom Cruise, Paoblo(father) and Magdelinda(mother)

If you had one month to live, what would you do first? 
I would spend more time with family and friends. I would be more compassionate. I am not scared of death. It is natural. I would be ready to go because I would have taken more risks like jump out of an airplane and hold a big snake…something I am scared of.

Any life lessons you want to share?
Be careful who you have around you, have positive people around you. Be yourself and follow your bliss. Enjoy everyday, plan for the future and never stop living your life.
