Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Edgewater, but I spent much of my youth in the Sam Leone Junior Life Guard Program and playing baseball at Pottawattomie Park.
What are you passionate and how are you fulfilling your passion ?
I am passionate about the Edgewater and Rogers Park communities. I feel strongly about people within the communities working together to improve the quality of life for our families and neighbors.
Which five people (living or dead) would you invite to a dinner
party?
Kathy Osterman (mom), Abraham Lincoln, John Lennon, Peggy (my wife), my two sons Jack and Harry Joe. And I would like to have coffee with George Bush to tell him face to face that his policies have failed our country.
If you had one month to live, what would you do first?
I would spend a month in Chicago with my family. There are so many wonderful things to do in Chicago.
What two establishments in Rogers Park besides your own do you tell your friends about?
Captain Nemo’s and The Heartland Cafe
Any life lessons you want to share?
Helping people can be incredibly rewarding, more than fame or money.
What do you stay home to do?
BBQ,spend time with my family.
What place in Rogers Park has special meaning for you?
Summers at Leone Beach, Pottawattomie Park were the greatest. There, I learned a lot about friendship, teamwork, and leadership.
