What do you like about Rogers Park?
I have worked in and around the area for the past 18 years. I have always been excited by the diversity of its residents and business people and their fierce loyalty and commitment to the area. It is through this loyalty and commitment that the area has maintained its unique place in the Chicago landscape and offers such tremendous potential for economic growth and prosperity in the not too distant future. All this while remaining steadfast in maintaining the qualities that make it the area what it already is, is inspiring for a new financial institution that shares this same vision.
Which five people (living or dead) would you invite to a dinner
party?
Alan Greenspan, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., my Grandfather and Jesus. I am not sure what the sitting arrangement would be however!
What is something that you have learned about life?
Character is revealed by how we deal with adversity.
What do you like to stay home to do?
Hang out with my dog, a 7 year old Golden Retriever named Flicka.
What place in Rogers Park, past or present, has special meaning to you?
The Angus Restaurant, for the many times I ate there with clients and never imagined that someday, I would work there! Ok not exactly work there, but work in a new building that will be built there
What two establishments in Rogers Park besides your own do you tell your friends about?
I have four and they are all food related: Gulliver’s on Howard, Capt. Nemo’s on Clark, Mullin’s and the Candlelight on Western. As for a non-food related establishment I have always been familiar with and supportive of is The Good News North of Howard project. I respect its mission greatly.
