CAFE SURON Cafe Suron first opened its doors on November 5th, 2001. This is the transformation of a 1920’s Tea Salon into one of the North Side’s and Rogers Park's most beautiful restaurants. As you enter this newly established culinary oasis, you are transported back to a time when friends would come together for a cup of tea, sit down and enjoy the simple pleasure of each other’s company. In addition to this serene image, the smells and spices of the Mediterranean and Persia waft through the air while guests partake of delicacies among the many exotic dishes. The colors of the rooms only serve to highlight the fine cuisine. The vivid, red windows and apricot colored walls entice the eyes to look everywhere in an effort to appease the appetite while one awaits the first course. The rich and varied artwork on the walls hints of the cultural roots and heritage of both the restaurant’s eclectic style and dynamic menu. There is always something new and exciting around the corner and everyday is a new opportunity to create something aesthetically beautiful yet deliciously pleasing. Thus living up to its name; “Suron”/ “Celebration”. |
