New Destination for Wine and More Opens in Historic Benjamin Marshall Space, Rogers Park
Long Awaited Picnic Wine & Provisions Opens to the Public
with Weekend Long Wine, Food and Music July 19-21

Our mission is to inspire adventure through wine, food and art.

The 20 year vision of local business entrepreneur, Liz Ahearn, opens to the public on July 19, with the Honorable Maria Hadden, newly elected Alderwoman of the 49th Ward officiating, along with long time Alderman Joe Moore.

Picnic Wine & Provisions is a "go to" destination to connect over wine, food and more. Filled with color and light, located in an historic Beaux Arts building, I offer a singular destination for "all things Picnic"--wonderful wines,  a variety of platters and small plates, coffee and conversation, indoors and outdoors.

"I am excited to honor all of the time and experience Joe Moore gave to making Picnic a reality, along with celebrating the future
of Rogers Park with Maria Hadden at this important event. Picnic is really all about community-- offering an all inclusive space for
conversation, along with my passion for wine, personally selected for value and more than reasonable pricing; a menu that changes
weekly, and of course, art. We have so much wonderful wall space." – Liz Ahearn, Owner

The art continues the legacy of the building's architect and designer, Benjamin Marshall, known for such famous Chicago icons as the Drake Hotel. Along with Curator Laura Mae Noble, Faculty, Art Institute of Chicago, Liz plans for monthly new exhibits showcasing local artists' work. Beyond business hours every Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 9pm and Sunday, 11am to 7pm, Picnic will engage the community through wine tastings, classes, music and movies, and the space will also be available for public and private events.
