East Rogers Park is a village stretched along quiet street-end parks and sprawling beaches. The beaches are the best in Chicago. This is a family friendly community with a good arts and LGBT scene. You will see families at play, some strolling with their dogs, as others search for the eternal Pokemon along lakeside trails, tennis courts, and murals.

A little more effort takes you to the edge of Lake Michigan where the price tag is still affordable. Pratt At The Lake is a beautiful, well-maintained, vintage courtyard building 200 feet from the beach park. This is a special area for dog owners.

There are lovely businesses nearby and a Target down the street on Sheridan at Loyola. Onward, Bulldog, Twisted Tapas offers great dining. Chipotle, Bop N Grill, Starbucks answers the call for faster options. The 400 Theater runs features for that lazy walk to the movies. The Armadillo’s Pillow anyone? Flatts and Sharpe music for the lover in us? Loyola University has quiet strolls that bring you to meticulous prairie landscapes set before moody waters.

Free parking has its challenges. You will be happy to know the hubbub of mass transit is steps away with the 147 Express to the loop at the corner. Loyola’s Redline station is a few blocks farther, and Metra has a Rogers Park station. Northwestern University provides a shuttle bus that picks up at Loyola Station and travels to both its Evanston and Michigan Avenue campus.

Included in the rent are High Speed Internet (300mbps) and Modem, heat, water, trash & recycling, and optional bicycle parking.

All units have a dishwasher, range and fridge. Most have gas fireplaces (in case you like it extra warm), and many have in-unit washer/dryers and modern kitchens.

Credit/criminal check, photo ID, income verification, references, first months’ rent and one months’ equivalent security deposit expected. We are pet friendly and ask a refundable, pet deposit of $250.

2 bedroom range: $1,620 to $1,825

3 bedroom: $2,190
