With Sullivan High Schools Saturday Book, Bake and Student Art Sale such a great success, Principal Chad Adams is pleased to announce that Sullivan will resume it for one more evening - Thursday April 11th, 4:00 - 8:00PM. With many amazing books remaining - geared for people of all ages (though no books for children) - we look forward to seeing as many as community members' hands as possible get their hands on great books.

On Saturday, neighborhood residents and Sullivan friends and alumni were thrilled to not only browse through great books, but also purchase baked goods (prepared in part by students in the Low Incidence Program) and wonderful art made by Sullivan students. With most books priced at only $1.00 each, and with many attendees generously making additional contributions, Sullivan made it nearly half way to its goal of raising $2500 for new books. Proceeds from bake sale and art went back to the Low Incidence program and art department for more supplies..

There was more! Attendees were thrilled to hear students and faculty read poetry and perform music. Even Principal Adams and Digital Media Teacher Samantha Spencer offered impressive performances. (Pictured above - ESL Social Worker Josh Zepeda.)

The non profit "Friends of Sullivan," which Principal Adams charged with the task of transitioning Sullivan's former library into a "Student Learning Lounge and Newcomer Center," is thrilled to see major progress reached, as we near completion of this project and perhaps a May ribbon cutting!
